Kerala Beverages Price List (iOS and Android) Effective date: 20 August 2026
This policy describes how the Kerala Beverages Price List app ("the app", "we") handles information. The app is developed and operated by Akhil Joy.
Information we collect
The app does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying personal information on our own servers.
The following data is processed by the app and its third-party service providers:
Device and usage data — anonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, app opens, crashes) collected via Google Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app.
Advertising data and device identifiers — the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier) and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. On iOS, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, ads are non-personalized.
Push notification token — a device token generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send price-update notifications you have opted into. This token does not identify you personally.
Location — if you grant location permission, your device's coordinates are sent to our server solely to find beverage outlets near you. They are processed in real time to answer that request, are not stored, and are never sold or shared. Ad services may also estimate your approximate (city-level) location from your IP address to serve ads.
Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
Ads/tracking (iOS): decline the tracking prompt, or change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Ads (Android): reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
Notifications: disable anytime in your device notification settings.
Location: the app works fully without location permission; the outlet locator will simply not sort by distance.
Data retention and deletion
We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. Data held by Google (analytics, advertising) is subject to Google's retention policies linked above. Uninstalling the app stops all data collection.
Children
The app displays alcohol-related price information and is intended for adults of legal drinking age. It is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
